I don't have access to a welder so I used off the shelf components, and 3D printed a motor mount to safely and easily mount the motor. Other people have achieved this using metal brackets that are welded. The hardest part of creating an electric skateboard is mounting the motors to the trucks (axles). My diy version only cost me 150$ that is 10% of the cost of the commercial ones!
